Does anyone know how a health and beauty aid company makes?

you want to buy their product?

To be more specific, lets narrow down the quesation.

How does a company that makes soap, convince you that you also need to buy their hand moisturizing lotion?

Considering this, how does this method of promoting a product compare to how companies that build security products promote their product?

Well, if people weren't constantly anxious and afraid about ';looking ugly'; or having the brand-new cars that they just bought and don't need stolen or whatever, I guess they wouldn't be buying much make-up or lotion or security products, would they?

Gotta keep people anxious. Remind them they're ugly and sick and in harm's way. Always something wrong - and if you buy something, it'll make it all right.

Heh. Yep. This tactic sounds about right to me.

Related to this question, I just watched the documentary _Who Killed the Electric Car?_, which revealed that in spite of having some demand for the car and owners who actually protested to buy and keep their electric cars, the companies (esp. GM), which had not sold but only leased the cars, actually rounded up every single car from their owners and destroyed them - crushed and recycled them. It was the most wasteful, absurd thing I'd ever seen.Does anyone know how a health and beauty aid company makes?
now think about how security companies and weapon manufacturers have to promote their product. Report Abuse

Companies don't make you want to buy their products that would be backwards. Companies make products you want to buy.
